Miami Lakes House

This is a 2000 built single-family residential property of approximately 2,100 SF of living space with 4 bedrooms / 2 full bathrooms / 1 half bath, on an excellent lot in the town of Miami Lakes.

The original design of the house was conceived with interior partitions that delimited the kitchen and dining room spaces from the living area and the family room

DESIGN PROCESS

The main objective is to achieve the integration of the areas with a modern concept, within an existing conservative interior decoration where golden accents predominated. The open concept wanted to achieve total integration with the design by introducing an interior with greater lighting and perfect interrelation between the spaces.

REMODELING GOAL

The remodeling implicitly brought some challenges, such as that the floor had been recently renovated and the owners did not want to change it again, the owners wanted to avoid odors during the cooking process, which implied a good extraction system. And last but not least, the owners wanted the ceiling repaired, but this repair was almost perfect, with the same existing texture, to avoid repairing the entire ceiling.

HOW WE STARTED?

We started with the design proposal for kitchen cabinets and their integration into the space with the existing decoration.

Later, the owners found very good options with the appliances that allowed to complete the design and the exhaust system, allowing the kitchen to be relocated to the island. This modern kitchen had its own extraction system incorporated.

CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

In addition, the owners found a golden decorative element to install between the two types of tiles that we had, very similar but not identical.

During the demolition and preparation process we were very careful
